“Washington Debates Idea Of Arming Libyan Rebels” (TIMES, 3/30/11)

There have been reports in the TIMES that the Taliban in Afghanistan have been bribed in order to allow American supply convoys to get through to their destinations. Meanwhile, rebellions in Syria, Yemen and Bahrain seem to be in the making.  How will the USA respond to that eventuality?
