“The House In Indiana Passes Curbs On Unions” (TIMES, 1/26/12)

The bad news that Indiana has become the 23rd “right to work state” in the USA makes it all the more urgent to implement a massive federal jobs program because the “open shop” favored by entrepreneurs will certainly mean low wages.

Since the vaunted private sector cannot be expected to spend enough money to put a serious dent in unemployment, only a massive federal jobs program can fill the bill.

The United States needs a New Deal program to repair its sagging infrastructure that would at the same time revive our seriously weakened economy the way a blood transfusion would revive a wounded soldier.
